In the world of safety and gas detection, timing is everything. If an offshore rig in the North Sea, a manufacturing plant in the US, or a cargo vessel docking in Singapore runs out of calibration gas, operations can grind to a halt. Even worse, safety compliance is compromised.
When your business relies on precise specialty gas mixtures, you don’t just need a manufacturer who can blend the gas—you need a global partner who can actually get it to your facility smoothly, navigating strict international shipping regulations for pressurized cylinders.
At CALGAZ, we solve the logistics challenge through a powerful, dual-continent manufacturing footprint backed by a robust global distribution network. Here is how our global operations infrastructure guarantees local reliability on a global scale.
The Power of Three: Global Manufacturing Hubs
Many specialty gas suppliers operate out of a single centralized facility. If that facility experiences a supply chain disruption, local holiday shutdowns, or shipping bottlenecks, their global customers face immediate delays.
CALGAZ operates two manufacturing plants in the US and one in the UK.
By operating 3 facilities we are able to serve both the domestic shipments in Europe and the US, as well as feeding the strategic distribution hubs in Europe, Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai. As a combined resources the 3 plants are able to provide compliance to ISO17025 and ISO17034 across a variety of gas mixtures. Through our fully integrated IT systems and operations processes all plants are able to support each other according to demand as well as providing critical back up supply in the event of extreme weather conditions or geopolitical issues. We are working to provide a uniform experience regardless of where we dispatch your goods from.
Overcoming the Logistics Hurdle: Global Distribution Hubs
Shipping compressed gas cylinders internationally is a highly regulated, complex logistical process. Gas cylinders are classified as dangerous goods, requiring specialized paperwork, certified packaging, and compliance with strict maritime and air freight laws.
To take the logistical headache off your plate, CALGAZ doesn’t just ship from our factories; we maintain strategically positioned global distribution hubs in the world’s most critical industrial crossroads:
- Singapore: Driving rapid supply to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) industrial and marine markets.
- Shanghai: Providing localized logistical support and distribution across mainland China.
- Dubai: Serving as a vital gateway for the Middle East’s oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors.
- Netherlands: Providing competitive lead times in a post Brexit world.
- Pearland: Cutting lead times to the industrial heartland of Texas and the oil & gas industry.
These regional hubs maintain a deep inventory of our most popular standard mixtures, quad-gases, and precision regulators. By storing inventory closer to your point of use, we drastically reduce transit times and eliminate the customs delays that frequently plague overseas shipments.
Why a Global Footprint Matters to Your Business
- Unmatched Supply Chain Security: With three manufacturing hubs and multiple global hubs, our supply chain is highly resilient against localized disruptions.
- Shelf Life and Stability: Because we distribute regionally, your cylinders spend less time in a single manufacturing hub. They are produced and shipped according to well established regional needs which allows you to benefit fully from our industry leading shelf life.
- Simplified Procurement: Global companies can standardize their gas detection fleets worldwide, knowing that a teammate in Houston, a captain in Rotterdam, and a technician in Singapore can all access the exact same CALGAZ products locally.
Ready for Everywhere You Work
No matter where your operations take you, CALGAZ bridges the gap between world-class manufacturing and your local job site. We make sure that precision safety is always within reach, wherever you are in the world.
